Today is a new day. I am looking forward with positivity. Hoping for a lot of discharged patients at LPCH. We really want a bed today.. never thought I'd be so excited to go to the hospital! I should hear sometime this morning. Last night Owen and I headed out to the Stanford Shopping Center to walk around. Neither of us are hotel dwellers, we like to get out.
Earlier in the day, Owen made friends with our next door neighbors at our hotel. They are an older couple from the South and Owen told them we were going to the zoo and his favorite animals are Giraffes. Before we left for our evening outing, we got a knock on the door and our neighbors bought Owen a gift...he loves it!! It was very sweet of them and he loves his "Stanley the Giraffe".
Owen's favorite place at the outdoor mall is the "tunnel of trees". We first came here back in 2009 and here was our pic at the "tunnel of trees" back then.
Four years later...
We were starving so we decided to share a kids BBQ Chicken Pizza and wedge salad. The weather was gorgeous and we walked around the mall for at least an hour afterwards.
There are a bunch of little flower gardens like this all over the mall. Owen loves to stop and explore. We went in a few stores and everything was "Bobo would love this.... we should buy this..." (Bobo is Kam).
We came back to our hotel and crashed hard. It was a great day in Palo Alto. Today we are planning on heading over to the RM House with a day pass and go to Camp Ronald McDonald while we wait for a hospital bed. I thought about doing a load of laundry, but that's no fun. :)

I just wanted to let you know that I have been following your blog for awhile now, and feel like I know your entire family well!! I have been praying for Owen for quite some time, and I am so happy to hear that he is doing well, and taking this step in his life very well. (He is such a handsome lil guy.)I just wanted to send my support, and wish you all the best! I am currently heading down the medical path for my littlest lady, Alyssa. She is in the process of being diagnosed with PIDD, Primary Immune Deficiency Disease. Possible IVIG treatment in the near future if no other type of medications/shots respond to her system!! All my best!!
