Despite our best efforts, this little bubba chubba has RSV now too. Today was supposed to be his 2 months well baby visit, but instead we went to get checked out. His lungs sound good, his appetite hasn't changed and he is mostly happy. He is on day 2 of this nasty cough/congestion and I'm hoping for a quick recovery. There isn't much we can do but continue to use saline drops in his nose, vicks on his feet, humidify the air and his favorite are long warm showers! I'm watching him for fevers, loss of appetite, lower oxygen saturations or trouble breathing.
At 2 months old, this little man weighed in at 13.5lbs and 23.5 inches! He still eats about 2-3oz every 2-3 hours. We just moved up a weight class to size 2 diapers and he is mostly wearing size 3-6 month clothes. He started smiling so much more now and his littler personality is starting to come out. He sleeps really well through the night, only waking a couple times to eat and it's right back to sleep. Here is Mr Logan looking just like his daddy!
Before Logan started coughing, we had a family party on Sunday to celebrate all the Dec and Jan birthdays. Owen is no longer contagious, but still wore his mask in case he coughed. He is kicking his sickies to the curb, but I expect it to linger for a few weeks.
We had a fabulously relaxing Valentines day and three day weekend. Well.. four day weekend if you count today and the fact that all my kids are still home. Even Kam woke up feeling achy and crummy this AM. My house is constantly being sanitized because Mom and Dad cannot get sick! I'm off to cuddle this little snugamuffin.
Thank you for all the sweet thoughts and prayers!

RSV
Owen's low grade fevers have continued on since Tuesday and his symptoms have gotten worse. He has a nasty cough, congestion, poor appetite and has had ear pain. I took him to the pediatrician first thing Thursday morning after we got back from Palo Alto. His eardrums were bulging so we started him on antibiotics. I feel awful because he complained of ear pain on the plane but I told him to yawn because I just assumed it was pressure from take off and landing. We swabbed him checking for flu and RSV as well. RSV came back positive, poor guy. Now we just need to be super cautious to keep Logan healthy since it's so dangerous in infants. There has been lots of laundry, hand washing and disinfecting going on around here. Owen is finally feeling a smidge better tonight and we are hoping for a full recovery soon.
Anytime he gets sick I think back to where he could have caught it. It usually originates at school as I am super careful not to take him to public places or stores this time of year. He did have two assemblies at school last week where he informed me he sat on the gym floor and wasn't wearing a mask. My skin is crawling thinking about a hundred, or so, 1st graders sitting in a group on the floor of the gym passing germs. Ewwww. I know I am germaphobic, but I can't help it.
I am so grateful for Owen's gtube this week. We are still shooting for removal in May, but it has been a dream the last couple of days for me to push fluids and yucky meds.
Kam had a super busy week and it was so fun to watch her on stage at her dance concerts this week. I am uploading her dances to youtube now and will post them later.
I didn't forget chd awareness week ...I have a post coming. Better late than never. ;)
For now....I sleep.

Biopsy and Results
We made it home. Owen had his 3 month biopsy at LPCH on Tuesday. C took time off work to help me with both boys. ..I couldn't have done it without him. It was an adventure. The plane ride on Monday was uneventful.
Owen was excited to head to the cath lab. He loves seeing all his nurses, docs, anesthesiologists...everyone. He is maturing so fast and growing like a weed lately. 46.5" and almost 43lbs...we even discussed the possibility of getting rid of his gtube in a few months!
His biopsy went great and his numbers (pressures) looked great. His echo showed great function and we were discharged by 11. By noon he was settled into the hotel and his first fever started. Staying on top of Tylenol has been keeping the fevers low grade, but there was fear of rejection.
At clinic today he started coughing and sniffling a ton and of course his fever returned. It almost had us cancelling our flight home. Thankfully his biopsy results came back 1a, which is about as good as zero. Yay! Cardiac wise he looks great so I promised he would wear his n95 mask on the plane and see the ped first thing tomorrow morning.
It was a whirlwind trip. Logan and daddy were champs. Owen and I are frequent travelers so it was just another adventure for us. Kam has had a super crazy week and will finish it off with two dance concerts. Thanks to everyone that helped get her to/from school and took great care of our girl.
So hooray for great biopsy results and boo to sickies. I'm hoping we all sleep good tonight!

Catching Up
Owen's 7th birthday was a good day celebrated with our small fam. Owen woke me up at 4am asking if he could open presents yet.. ha ha.. go back to bed. He has been fighting a cough/cold for over a week now and with it comes nasty headaches. He obliged and went back to bed for an hour.. just an hour. At 5:30 he was up in our room opening presents. He got two Batman Lego sets and a Batman game for the WiiU.. everything he asked for and he was thrilled that being sick meant staying home to play.
Mr Owen chose Olive Garden for his birthday dinner. These four are my whole world!!We totally don't make funny faces and act like lunatics trying to get Logan to pay attention and smile for us... never.. we are too mature for that. Ha. I love that Logan is totally disinterested in this photo. If you aren't a lightbulb or a fan, forget about it.
This birthday boy was in heaven. Breadsticks, salad, soup, pizza and those yummy chocolate mints at the end of the meal. He ate so much food that his tummy was stuffed before the main course. I'm shocked at how well he is eating lately.. it only took seven years! Slow and steady...
His birthday was just what he wanted and we can't wait for his party. I should probably start planning that soon.
I've said it before, but adjusting to three kids has been a challenge. Up and out the door before 7 is getting easier, but afternoon naps are still a challenge. Mr. Logan likes snuggles, just like his siblings. So every afternoon around noon, the boys and I head upstairs. Owen usually gets his reading done on his ipad or will play legos while I get Logan to sleep. Then I jump up and get as much done around the house as I can in that precious hour! However, there are days when both boys drift off (usually when Owen is feeling crummy) and I took full advantage and closed my peepers as well. BLISS!! I may do that more often.
Logan is getting so big, so fast! He has his moments of crabbies where he just wants to be held over your shoulder with his bum patted. He also hates to be put down for more than a few minutes, which makes getting anything done near impossible. He babbles constantly and gets excited when he's happy. He is the gassiest baby I have ever met, but never seems to be in pain. I've tried everything from super sensitive formula, to anti colic bottles (he doesn't have colic at all), to lots of burping, gas drops and gripe water. He just likes to pass gas. :)
He hasn't shared any smiles with us yet, but these forest animals projected on his ceiling at 2am sure did get lots of grins. Oh and we moved him into a crib this week, which he seems to tolerate. He hated the pack and play bassinet and wouldn't sleep in his rock and play. That left a spot open between C and I at night and that wasn't a habit I was wanting to begin. So I purchased him a super fancy crib mattress and a white crib.. side railed it up to our bed like a cosleeper.. and he is happy to sleep in his own bed. At night when he wakes... I feed him, burp him and pat his little bum to sleep. If he decides that it's time for a party, he gets to watch his little mobile and forest friends light up the ceiling. It's a win win.
Kam is super busy with her science project, getting ready for his spring orchestra concert and she has a high school dance concert next week. We also just got her all registered for her crazy schedule for sophomore year. She is going to be a busy girl.
C is busy at work and is taking time off to come to Stanford with us next week. Busy busy.. but we did relax this weekend and we watched the Superbowl in our jammies... with the rest of America. Can you believe it... we blinked and January came and went.
