Weekend Entertainment

I am so excited to welcome October!!  This is one of our favorite months around here and we cannot wait for Halloween!!  We are hoping the weather will cool down soon.. today we are in the high 90's.. so we are making progress.  I have continued to bust my butt at the gym and I am still feeling so exhausted.. I know that I will reap the benefits soon enough.

This weekend has been a relaxing one, which is becoming a pattern around here.  We joined HopeKids for "Dolphin Tale" at the movies on Saturday morning.  It was such a great movie and even Owen loved it.  Tatum spent the day and slept over.  Between listening to iPods, playing Just Dance, watching movies and building forts.. the kids had a great time!

This morning after breakfast, the girls were playing with Tatum's apps on her iPod.  This one always cracks me up!!  This is the Juicy Fruit app and it is hilarious!! Isn't Owen so beautiful.. handsome.. whatever.. he is just an adorable boy!

Kam was rocking this one.. "You're so sweet .. I can take you to my Mama's house.. wear something nice!"  HILARIOUS!!

Tatum rocks this one.. "You're so sweet, you make my heart go Pitter Patter, just like my corn huskin' machine.. ba boom ba boom!"  (Think in a mater voice!)  Ha!

Owen loved the vampire one.. "You are so sweet.. I can just eat you up! Oh wait.. that came out wrong.. it's a metaphor I swear!"

So that is how we spend our free time!  Ha.  Don't judge.

Kam has one more week of school til' Fall break and you can bet that we are counting down the days!  I need to do some serious fall cleaning around here and dejunking.  We have more baby toys than we know what to do with.  Kamryn's costume needs made for Halloween.  I need to sell a ton of stuff on Craigslist and Ebay.

I went to my first Cardiologist appointment to further investigate the murmur that the Nephrologist heard.  Cardio said my EKG looked great and is just sending me for an echo to give me two thumbs up on heart health!  My blood pressure was all over the place .. too low.. too high.  Neither of us were too worried..well Cardio was a little more worried than I was.

I have a CT Scan on Monday to further investigate the fluid pockets on my only kidney.  Hoping it's nothing as I have no symptoms and my urine/blood tests came back looking fantastic.  I have a followup with Urology and Nephrology this month.

Owen is doing so great lately!!!  Can I get a woot woot!!  He is feeling great, skipping naps, playing hard.. you name it!  His coloring is great too.  The 2 1/2 liters of oxygen and increased meds are definitely doing this boy good.

Both kids go to the dentist this week for their 6 month checkups.  Both kids were cavity free 6 months ago, and we are hoping for the same results.  Kamryn has about 8 teeth that are not falling out and need to be... they have no roots and are pretty much just hanging on.  The dentist said to give them til' October and we'll discuss pulling them out.  As soon as we get those out, the permanents can drop in and braces can finally go on!  I really want for her to be braces free by high school so I will do everything in my power to make it happen!!

We have a busy week ahead, some surprises, and a giveaway.  It is still officially the weekend and so I am off to cuddle my babes and relax!!
