Today was early release for the kids and we had an afternoon of relaxation planned. Owen isn't feeling like himself today. He is pukey. The rash on his arms and legs is super angry. Poor guy. He just feels crummy overall.
It was a great day to get not one, but
three Big Gives in the mail today!!
The first package came from disname: tricia.. all the way from Canada!!
Inside were the cutest Toy Story coordinating outfits for our day at Disne's Hollywood Studios. We are so excited for this theme park as it's where all the Pixar characters hang out!! Kamryn got the cutest Alien dress that fits her perfectly!
Owen got a Buzz embroidered tee with alien shorts made from the same fabric as Kamryn's dress.
Tricia even sewed an Alien patch on the back of Owen's tee!! So cute.
Here is the closeup of Buzz! I love embroidery and would never have the patience for it. Thanks so much Tricia.. the kids love these outfits!!
The second package came from disname: ellenbenny. I have seen her work on previous Big Gives and love what she makes.
The kids' things were wrapped in individual presents. Gigi was hanging out with us today and thought it was the best day ever to come over! She helped the kids open their gifts and read all the cards to us.
Kamryn got the cutest ruffle skirt with matching tees. The first tee was an embroidered Sassy Tinkerbell. Kamryn loves it!!
The second shirt was an Ariel Cutie tee. Kamryn LOVES the princess cutie tees!!! I should have brushed Kamryn's hair after school, but it was crazy hat day at school and we were lazy.
Owen's received an adorable three-piece Monster's Inc outfit! SO cute! There is an embroidered Randall tee, and he loves Randall! She also made him some comfy shorts and a bowling shirt. The shirt has an embroidered Sully and Mike on the back.
Aren't those adorable?? I love this outfit!! We love everything you made Ellen. You are super talented and we appreciate you sharing your talent with us!! Everything is a perfect fit!
The third package had to wait until after Owen's nap. He looks a little rough in these last pictures. The last package of the day came from Colleen.
Inside the package with a Mickey's Clubhouse box full of survival goodies. She thought of everything!! Wet wipes, chapstick, bug spray, hand sanitizer, sewing kit, tide stick, bandaids, qtips, kleenex, Sunblock, gum, glowsticks and even nail files. Thank you so much Colleen!!! That was so thoughtful and we love it!! I do hear there are tons of bugs in Florida.. someone please tell me this isn't true?!
Thank you so much ladies for all your love and hard work. We appreciate every single package so much and feel really spoiled.

I heard there were lots of bugs as well...so I packed the bug spray. And we never used it! We went on a boat cruise and the captain said that this year they haven't had hardly any. We did see a few the last couple of days but it was more hot and humid then. So, hopefully by the time you go, you want have any problems with bugs. But we did end up with a very tiny frog inside our villa one evening!
There are bugs but you are coming at the best time of year. I live in Orlando and right now there are a few mosquitoes (but temps just dropped so they should go away) but nothing bad and I haven't ever really had a problem in the parks. If you are exploring swamp land, then yes...you might need bug spray and alligator spray! LOL. If you have any questions for a local/park nut, my email is niki.eggert@gmail.com! Just a word of advice from a policewoman and momma...You might want to take down that photo showing your full address on that box. You never know with some nuts on the internet. Always Better to play it safe than sorry! I'd also be cautious about giving out your home address as well as so much information about your kids, to so many strangers from a Disney site, in order to receive gifts in the mail. I'm sure that most of them have good intentions, but when it comes to your kids you never know who you can really trust. Never tell them which hotel you will stay at ( until you get home), and the specific dates you will be away either. Your kids become a target on vacation as well as your empty home ( now that the address is posted for all to see ). Hope that helps.

The BIG GIVE mail is being sent to the home address, but there is a major process for the people sending to get the address. In hindsight we should have done a PO BOX.
We were just in FL (Disney) Last week and there were hardly no bugs! So I'm not sure where everyone else is seeing these bugs lol. I had literally I think 3 mosquitos on me the whole 8 days we were there, and hardly any other bugs! I'm so excited for you guys, but I hope the crowd dies down by the time you go... it was insanelyyyyyy busy when we went and it kinda sucked :( I'm loving seeing all the fun gifts you guys get! How long are you going to FL for? And what are you all doing there as far as parks/activities? *Megan from WI*
