We are having a simple Saturday, lounging around the house in our jammies. Owen loves to cuddle up to Sis and watch her play.
It is too hot to go outside. 
We made cookies, watched movies, and most importantly... stayed cool.
It has been a Simply Satisfying Saturday!

Is that the Gooey Chocolate butter cookies by Paula Deen? We made those over Christmas and they are soooo yummy...especially right out of the oven!

Oh my gosh! I just love that picture, you can just feel the love they share. Love it!!! And are you kidding me.. I cannot believe it is that hot there.. We about 106 a day... and we are slowly getting to the hottest couple months (end of July and August)and I have to admit I am scared. My electric bill is skyrocketing. ekkk!!

I have showed him a couple of videos on youtube before and he noticed the ratings/stars... after I read your comment and him smiling and filled with joy, he proceeded to ask.. "how many stars do I have filled?" haha!! kids are too sweet!!
Yummy cookies. Your kiddos are so cute together. I love how Owen just loves his sis, and she loves him right back. GOSH that is so HOT!!! How do you stand to even go outside? Is is dry heat or wet? Does that make sence? Like muggy or just dry? Glad you had a great day.
What a great day - I am sure the kids loved being able to stay with Mom & Dad to just enjoy your time together.
Love it. You deserve some downtime to soak in all that is good and right with life right now. In all the fixing what's wrong, I think it's easy to forget what's right. And it looks like, despite it all, you've managed to create a home where you've got a lot going right!

I LOVE those cookies, some of my favorites. I know it has been so hot lately and I love those lazy days as well. It seems like life is just so hectic all the time that we don't have enough days to just enjoy our families. Your two little ones are so cute together and you can just see how much Camryn loves Owen and how he adores his big sister.
