Owen had another rough morning. I increased his Captopril yesterday and he did great. Today was another story. He puked, he screamed, he sweated and got a little puffy. Low blood pressure perhaps? After a morning of cuddles, several baths (after the puking) and a drive to sonic, he crashed hard. He slept for a few hours this afternoon and woke up a little more content but totally dazed.

We took it easy and he tolerated his afternoon and evening doses of meds just fine. He did puke a few more times. I am thrilled that we are almost maxed out on his Captopril. He is supposed to be at 20cc/3xday which is a total of 3oz a day. We're at 18ccs right now. We have an appointment with cardiology on Friday and we'll start him on Carvedilol. I just hope his tummy can handle all the increased medications. And I sure do hope they are doing some good and not harm.
Kelli (my sister) brought Livy over so that I could take some pictures of her today. I love me a newborn, especially when she's my neice. I had to peel her out of Kamryn's arms so that I could actually take some pictures. Owen gets close, but not too close. He did throw a toy car at her... I guess he wanted her to throw it back. He keeps his distance, watches her every move and refuses to love on her. Whew, good thing God knows what he's doing by keeping my infertility in check.

Does anyone else stay up late at night because it's the only time you have to yourself?? Just curious.

yes, that's exactly why I stay up so late! Praying that Owen tolerates his meds, and what a cute little livy!
Absolutely, My goal was to be in bed by ten pm. It is now a little after midnight. Ah well maybe tomorrow night.

Oh yes....every night...it's the only time I can have peace and not have someone asking me to do something. I get everything cleaned up..turn every tv and sound in the house off and sit down with my computer :)
Hope Owen is feeling better today and he can tolerate all those meds....I can't believe it's possible for his tiny body to take all that medication. What a tough boy!
Yes, even when I have to be up at 3am to feed Isaac. Oh, that's also when I do dishes, laundry, and I should vacuum. :)
YES! I stay up until midnight every night even when I am tired, just because I get to do whatever I want!
Hope Owen conitnues to strengthen and not have side affects from the course of medication. I pray for you daily. Livy is so cute. Stay strong and know that many people are cheering you on!!!
I rarely go to bed before midnight!! my husband doesn't understand why i stay up so late...i think only moms get it though. its tough to find time for just us! I hate it when owen is sick. he's just a sweet little boy that shouldnt have to deal with any of this stuff!
The baby looks just like Kelli, I always stayed up late when my kids were little to savor the quite alone time.
YEP...I stay up when everyone else crashes. I actually like listening to the quiet! Hope Mr. Owen has a great afternoon today!

Late night quiet is great! Glad to know you're enjoying it as well. =)
Praying for Owen.
Oh, I hope Owen does OK with the increased meds. Poor wee poppet, and poor mommy having to get him through this increase.
Cxx
I always find myself staying up too late because it is my only time to myself. Sometimes it is painful in the morning because of this hunger for alone time to get things done.
I hope Owen feels better with his med change. He is so sweet.
I went to nursing school with Ethan's Mom. I will pray for little Mr. Owen.
