It was a scorching hot day in the desert... it was teetering on miserable at 110 degrees. No festivities, BBQs, pool parties, or parades for us this year. Although, we
did make it out to the fireworks! We parked in an empty lot (with all the other works watchers), cranked up the air conditioner, and watched the fireworks light up the sky. Word to self.. next year we are going somewhere cooler.
Since we were home bound, I realized I wouldn't have the opportunity to take pictures of the kids in their red, white and blue. I tried... I really did try. Mr. Owen was NOT having it!

I let him scoot around outside while I snapped some of Kamryn, then he got jealous.

He tried to close the front door so that I couldn't come in... this is his new found game. He thinks it is
hilarious to close the door, hold it shut with his feet and not let you in the room. We've had two finger smashing incidents today alone.

Any chance Mr. Owen will get my curls??
Hope you had a great Fourth of July!!! It's 10:45pm and the
meteorologist on the news just said it's 98 degrees out. Only a few more months of summer.

Oh my goodness, what a hot July 4th! You should think about coming to Nebraska! This year it was cloudy and cool out and then chilly at firework time.
Love the red, white, & blue outfits!
Oh Owen! What a sweetheart, even with the slammed fingers (OUCH!)! Glad you guys were able to beat the heat. 110* sure sounds hot!

It's hot here in Texas also!! :) We are heading out to Phoenix in a couple weeks for my hubby's basketball tournament. Any ideas for me and the kids while the hubs is coaching? Have a great week!
Many Blessings,
Amanda
wow what a hot day! Allie's obsessed with the doors lately too...when i try to open them back up her feet are right there :) Even when he's upset he's cute though!!! and I'm loving Kamryn's dress...she's absolutely beautiful!
I love the red, white a blue. Our little guy likes the same door game! And like you - a few finger smashing as well. Happy 4th!!!
