After the typical Saturday Costco run this morning. We lounged on the patio of Kona Grill and had ourselves a family lunch. Full bellied, we came home with the intention of taking in an afternoon nap.
We walked right into the house and right back out. It was too nice outside to spend time sleeping. We packed up the stroller and walked to the park.
We sprawled out on a blanket in the grass. Watched the bubble machine do the sticky work of blowing thousands of delightful bubbles. Then we broke out the oreo picnic. The first food that Owen ever tasted was that of a bite sized Oreo. Formula wouldn't suffice. He's addicted.
Here he is making his kissy face while trying to eat the whole 1/2 cookie he shoved into his mouth.

We have some serious fun planned this week for spring break! Owen is going to love having Kamryn home ALL week long!!

Hi! I found your blog on the prayer request list on Kelly's Korner. I clicked on your name because my maiden name is Simmons! I plan to read your precious child's story right now. You are all in my prayers.
Happy spring break! I'll be thinking of you enjoying th sunshine and heat...we're still freezing up here! Owen (and Kamryn) are such cutie pies and I'm sure that watching them go down the slide was just as fun for you! Keeping Owen in my prayers...
Spring Break, think winter break. It is still cold up here. I wish that I could go out side but the wind is the problem. It makes it 10 times colder. I wish I could lounge in the sun, it would be nice.
Hi. I found your blog from Kelly's Korner. Your little Owen is soo adorable!!! I will be lifting you up in prayer daily...

Oh Andrea, how I do not like the desert and it's heat. It seems to come earlier each year as of late. I dread the summer with Lily and her heart, she has never been able to regulate her body temperature well and she sweats like crazy as it already is. Last summer we were in and out of the hospital so, she spent a lot of time in the cool air.
I can not wait to see how your pictures turn out from Rachael this coming Friday. She will be the only photographer that I use from now on. Even though my kids don't want to have anything to do with her, I love the work that she does. The memories that are captured with them are priceless beyond belief.
I have never asked, but what hospital has Owen been going to for all of his treatments? I know you picked CA for when it comes time for the Transplant, which is where we would go.CA has a lot of great hospitals that can take care of the heart. I was just wondering where you go for right now. Hope you don't mind me and my nosiness.
And you are right....I am terrified of the doctors telling me one day Lily will need a heart transplant. I am surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet. So much is wrong with her little heart and it is so defected...but yet, she is still holding strong.
I tell her about Owen and how the doctors are going to give him a new heart. That when she gets bigger we will make sure she meets all of her heart friends. We are praying daily for him. Give him and huge hug from the McLaughlin family.
Take care...and I will be on the look out for those family pictures!

I'm so jealous! It's in the 50's here! And that is starting to feel nice! I can't wait for 70's - 80's!
