Kidney Stone

Nope, not me. Thank goodness.

Carson had yet another kidney stone this morning. Many pain killers later, he passed it! Usually it takes days to pass the stones, but he got lucky. It's not fun watching a grown man cry. (He didn't really cry, but he would have felt better if he did!)
----------------------------------------------------------
Owen puked and puked at around 3am last night. Then his NG tube was accidentally pulled out... it was disgusting! Usually I change his tube every 30 days. This time it had only been in for about 12 days and I was shocked to see how icky and discolored it was. Nothing like usual.

We're crossing our fingers that maybe he had a bacterial infection in his tummy and that tube was holding onto some of the bacteria so he couldn't fully rid of the bug. I put a new tube in and today he hasn't had a dirty diaper or a spit up. He's still not back to same ol' Owen, but what a huge improvement!

He's still looking pasty white. I'm just happy he's tolerating his feeds and absorbing his meds. This is good. No.... this is GREAT!

OUCH on the kidney stone. Poor guy!!

Owen is such a little cutie. Good thought on the tube/bacteria scenario...HOPE that's it!

Hoping the nasty NG tube was the cause that it was continuing on! Good thing it came out!

Kidney stones sound terrible...I've heard they can be worse than giving birth (well, I wouldn't know either for sure as I've never pushed once on a baby or a stone!) Hope both of your men are feeling better!

Bingo! It sure sounds like this tube made little lamb sick.
Hope he is feeling more chipper today and his Papa is too.

So glad Owen is feeling better and Carson passed his stone. I'd take a natural labor over a kidney infection anytime. I am so glad that Owen is feeling better!! We are still praying for him.

Sounds like the tube scenario was a happy accident. I hope both of your boys are on their way to feeling much better!

Josh once had a very icky NG tube, just like you said & I totally agree that it could have been the reason the bug has lingered. Lets hope he bounces back now that he's got a fresh tube!
So sorry to hear about the kidney stone...ouch!
