The nurse took his blood pressure, o2 sats, and then came the scale... yowza... Mr. Owen hates to get weighed! The nurse then said "OMG...he is SUCH a grouchy baby!"
Really??

"AIMS TESTING IS SO AWESOME!!!"
The first words out of Kamryn's mouth when I picked her up from school today. Who would have thought that a week of testing would be so much fun??

so happy little man is doing so well.
Love those cute perfectly aligned choppers. :)
What a sweetiepie.
What a great appointment! What a terrible appointment! lol Nothing like visiting the masters of contradiction...the medical professionals. :)
And the grumpy comment...that would be irritating if it wasn't so completely 100% wrong. It's just funny.
Glad he is doing so well with is weight and height! He DOES look great! :)
I hope my students feel the same way when we start testing in less than 2 weeks. I have a feeling they won't, though. ha! Your little guy looks like the UN-grouchiest baby ever!! That nurse hasn't met grouchy until she's met MY little angel!
Your son is an inspiration! Every picture I have seen of him he is happy as can be! I am praying for your smiley boy.
How dare anyone say he's a grouchy baby! All I hear from you is how happy he is and all I SEE is how much a delight he is! Boo on her.
As for the doctor, he's crazy. They all are. Helpful? Yes. Confusing? Absolutely! But we need them and most the time, they are right. *sigh* MOST of the time. I love our daughter's GI though. He calls her "his little peanut" and always is playful with her. He's so informative too, unlike most military doctors. (They are much more crazy than civilians!)
Your daughter is awesome! I don't know her reasons for loving the tests but I especially loved the writing portions. It was usually required that we only write on page; well, I'f write five or six. Most kids loved the testing because it got them out of regular classes though.
Hope she did well!

(I changed my display name to "Navy Wife" as you can see but it's still the same ol' Melanie from Maryland!)
Really? Grumpy? You should show her those pictures, and than tell that if she had to get weighed while stripping down, see how she would feel! He is so cute and she is so not!
I wonder why he is grumpy? DUH???? Silly nurse. Yea for Owen weighing enough. That is crazy they want him to eat that much plus drink that much. I guess you have to do what you are told sometimes? Okay your daughter needs to come live with us and rub off on Landen. That is awesome you have a smart one on your hands. Maybe the next cardiothorasic surgeon?
What do silly nurses know anyway? Pshhhhhh. Whatever. Obviously, they don't know what they're talking about. ;)
Owen is anything BUT grumpy!
LOL...dont you love that when they say they look perfect and then they go on about what more they need...makes me scratch my head and just nod most of the time. And Mr.Owen a grouch? Look at that smile...lol...kids hate those type of things...Lily screams too...who wants to be stripped out of their clothes to be weighed?
Kamryns response to AIM testing made me laugh...I in all honesty dreaded AIMS as a child...but I wasn't huge on tests...it is great to see that she isn't afraid of them like I was..she is a very smart child.
Give Mr.Owens Sweet little cheeks kisses...I love his cheeks..they are so cute and chubby..like Lily's, ad I cant get enough of hers.
Sending you our Heart hugs and blessings.

I just wanted to let you know that my husband is an RN at a hospital just down the street from Seattle Children's- and we would be happy to help you in whatever way we could! My mother-in-law is currently waiting for a kidney transplant- I can't imagine going through it with a baby. My prayers are with you!
