Our three day weekend has ended too soon. It was long, relaxing and full of fun (mostly). I setup the air mattress in the family room so the kids could snuggle and watch movies.

It was a nice idea until Owen got bored and started pulling off Kami's glasses, throwing his binki and playing on the mattress. Kamryn likes to actually watch the movie.

Owen fell asleep with his hands clasped together. He's been taking really long naps lately and I find myself checking to make sure he's breathing.
Please tell me this is normal?
We only have a couple more months of swimming season left, so we took full advantage. Both of our kids are fishies in the water and will be sad when the water turns cold.

Check out those BLUE lips!!

It's back to the weekly grind. We have a busy week of therapies, school and work. My house is extra clean because I decided to clean our carpets over the weekend. Fall cleaning anyone?

Those are some blue lips! But blue looks good on him (of course you'd hope to only see that shade in his clothing)!
I still sleep with my hand on Joshie's tummy every night, so I think you're normal...but then maybe we're both crazy, lol!
LOVE the rain pictures below....my favorite Owen post ever!!!!!!
It was after Kyleigh's surgeries that I was freaked out. She went from being a kid who you could see her chest rise and fall from across the room to one who you cannot hear her breathe AT ALL. I would go in and stick my finger under her nose to feel for her breath (so as not to wake her up of course... LOL).
You are not crazy. You have been given reason to have a healthy bit of worry in you.
Hugs and prayers!
I love that picture of Owen with his hands folded..it's like he's praying :)
Praying for the little guy....he's so precious!!!!!
Gotta love that Kami adores him so much...the two babies in our house aren't quite into watching the actual movie yet either. When the older two want to the babies always turn it off :)
We've talked about this before, but it blesses me to see Kamryn and Owen interact so much and love each other so much, even with an age gap. What a unique and incredible relationship you are helping create for them and I'm sure will last their whole lives.
Oh, and those lips ... I have seen my fair share of that color on Mr. Luke's lips! And his sats are in the mid-80's! But when he gets cold or playing really hard, we call him Blueberry.
And as for checking on Owen when he takes long naps, yep, you're normal =)
Have a great week!
Oh my, I LOVE the pictures of them snuggling on the floor, thats PRICELESS! Glad y'all had a good Labor Day weekend.
I love their smiles - they capture the very fact that they really enjoyed their weekend :)
Will you come and do my carpets next?? Glad you had a relaxing long weekend, let's be honest, the weekends can never be too long! Owen as usualy is darling and lucky to have such a fabulous big sister!
A mothers love does strange and wonderous things. I used to check breathing in the night when my kiddies had fevers and slept too long. My old dentist once confided he would use a dental mirror and check to see if it fogged up.
Little Owen is the cutest little blueberry muffin.
I pray daily for him and our friend Paul Cardall.
God bless you mommy!
I am attempting fall cleaning myself... or should I say catching up on 1 year of no deep cleaning (windows, baseboards, etc...) Owen looks great! I am glad you had a nice relaxing weekend. And congrats is in order for respite (or should I say it about time!)
Love-
Heidi
