A Better Day

Owen had an uneventful night last night and a super busy day today.  The Mileinone is working and he felt better today than he has in a long time.  He is still Tachy and breathy when he talks.  He laughed a good part of the day and that's all I can ask for!

We didn't make any changes and he is just hanging out waiting for his next miracle.  A few Elders from the Young Single Adult ward came by and gave him a blessing.  It brought us all comfort.  He had nerd chat with the Elders and they said they'd come by anytime to play with him.

Allison came by earlier and brought us our pillows and blankets she has been storing at her house.  She also brought Owen his spicy tortilla soup from his favorite bakery.  He ate for the first time in two weeks and that was a small miracle in itself.  We are hanging in there.  Still not "stable" but hanging in a better place.

Kam is sick and I hate that I am not home to take care of her.  I have been doing my best by phone to make sure she takes care of herself.  This is a hard journey.  Our roommate in the CVICU had a very rough day and hasn't had a good ending.  My PTSD is for real. I escaped by walking to Walgreens for a flu shot.  #heartmomlife

Thank you for all the prayers and support.  They are working...a miracle will come.

You don't know me, but Brytt Pettit is a friend of mine and I've been following your blog after learning about Owen from her a couple of years ago. I just want you to know that even though we don't know each other I've been praying for your little Owen and the rest of your family. I know Heavenly Father answers prayers and is watching over your family and the medical team that cares for Owen. xo

so glad that Owen had a blanket visit and soup visit! Praying for all of you and your sweet girl. So glad you got your flu shot. God is good all the time and has you all firmly in his grip. Prayers for your friends in the unit - I know that is very hard on you all also
