Our sweet friend Gabriella is getting hew new heart today!!! She has been on the list almost 100 days and today is the day. I am so excited for the Vega family. One year ago, they learned that their healthy little girl had a rare form of restrictive cardiomyopahy and miocardial bridging. In October of last year, just before she was to be listed for her new heart, she suffered a stroke that took away her speech and movement on the right side of her body. Gabriella is so amazing to fight like she has at only 5 years old. Please pray for her family today as they travel from Phoenix to Southern California so she can get her sparkly new heart. Please pray for the donor family that is saying goodbye to their precious little one today.

On a sidenote...
Please keep Mister Owen in your prayers. I will do an update on him later today. He has been exhausted since we got back from vacation. He can't climb the stairs, he doesn't want to stand, he asks to go "bup" (upstairs) and lay in bed the majority of the day. He loves to go on errands, but that doesn't require much from him since he just chills in his stroller. I'm trying not to stress it but if he doesn't pick it up a little, I'll run him into cardiology next week.

We will pray! Seeing changes in our our heart babes is so hard...
We will be praying for all these heart babies. We adjusted Ellie's meds a week ago, and she is really worn out also. It's so hard to know if it's the meds (which it usually is) or if her heart failure is getting worse. We will check back to see how Owen and Gabriella are doing.

I am most definitely praying for both little sweethearts today.
Yay for Gabriella! I was so happy to hear their news. I'm sorry to hear about Owen. Poor kid. I hope he feels better soon.
Praying for little Owen and your family! Also praying for Gabriella and the donor family.
I have been following your blog for a long time but have never commented. I hope Owen is doing better and will pray for him. He is such a cutie. I enjoy all of your pictures of his accomplishments.
Oh no, so sorry Owens feeling down. Please keep us updated how he's doing and I'll definatly be praying.
I agree with the poster that said changes in heart babies are hard. And i totaly know the concern of wondering if its more heart failure.
Hugs...hang in there!!
Love, Esther
