Bed Swap

The first thing we did when we got back from California was the much needed bed swap. Owen had outgrown his crib and Kamryn was outgrowing her twin bed. So we moved them both up!

We took down the crib. Moved Kamryn's twin bed into our room and pushed it between the wall and our bed. Owen is a happy boy in his new big boy bed! I am a happy mom because I finally got to use the bedding I purchased on clearance at Target last year... $14 for the entire set! :)
I love to watch these two interact... Kamryn pretends to be minding her own business and Owen goes in for the "attack".

This is Kamryn's new full sized bed! She has tons more room and her bedding that she already had just happens to be made for a full/queen bed. I look forward to the day that Owen can climb in bed with her when he's scared or just have a late night chat with his big sis.
Until the day that he is tube free, Owen will probably stay in our room. I am so nervous about all the tubes and I like that I can reach over to make sure his heart is beating anytime I want. Kamryn and Owen love their new beds and we are happy to be rid of the crib.

Glad to know I'm not the only mom who still has a two year old sleeping within arms reach of my bed.

I get it Andrea....I do!

He looks so proud in his cute big boy bed!

Both of those bedding sets are great... especially Owen's for a steal, I love it! And I'd be the same with you, I'd want Owen right next to me. At 18 months I still have the motion sensor monitor on my sons crib. It's all about peace.of.mind!

You got the bedding for $14?? I am so impressed that you found that sale! I love the bedding sets, but even they can get pretty pricey!

Cute! Great bedding for both your kiddos!!!

Totally get the "in the room" part...Wyatt at the ripe age of 6 still has a moniter in his room that we have turned up so loud in ours that you can hear him breathing (of course). And, as for Luke...well, we haven't managed to get him out of our bed yet...much less into his own. He does nap in his room as of about a month ago so that's progress, huh?

So, when are you giving me photography lessons??? Your pictures are always amazing! :)

Glad to see y'all back home!
