A little of this....a little of that....
Our lazy summer days are quickly coming to an end. Kamryn starts back to school in a couple weeks and we are going to miss having her home all day. I can't believe my baby girl is going to e a 3rd grader... wow! Owen is becoming a little less shy around his food as the days go on and he realizes I'm not going to give up on this eating business. Don't get me wrong...he still won't eat, but he is showing more curiosity, which is a HUGE step in the right direction. We had a visit with Dr. Stock today (cardiologist) and he thinks Owen is doing good. His O2 sats seem to hover around 90 and his blood pressures are good. We continue to tweak his meds looking for the right combo in order to maximize his function. We'll do another followup echo in a few weeks and PRAY that the function is improving.

Love the new site! And love the pictures of the kids. They sure are beautiful. I'm glad the Owen si showing more interest in his food these days. Looks liek we are started on the hard road of feeds. Hopefully Lindsay will be ok with it but only time will tell. I was just checking on on you tonight and I'm glad things are going well. Heart hugs, Suzie (Lindsay's mommy)
Such cute pictures of the kids! & I'm liking the new layout!
Sats in the 90's sounds pretty good! Josh has been low 80's since the Glenn...wish they were 90's!
Thanks for the comment on our blog! Its so fun talk to other 'heart moms' out there. Can we add Owen to our heart buddies? I'd love it if you added Teagan! :)
I too was thinking that sats in the 90's were good. Ethan used to be mid 80's post Glen but has since settled into the low 80's. We will be looking forward to hearing about Owen's echo. I will pray that you get good news. Take care!

Look at those chompers Owen has! Watch out.
LOVE the new layout!! So cute. And your kids are pretty damn cute too.
p.s. yes, the "farts" were scentless but that doesn't mean anything in my fam.
Great photos! Great layout! I'm thinking I need to change mine up soon - it has been the same for too long.
Your family is so beautiful!!
Parker has always taken some milk by mouth (even if it was 5 cc at the beginining). After his Glenn we had a really hard time getting him to eat but he slowly got better. One day the doctor said we could stop feeding him through his g-tube and just bottle feed to see if he would increase. We have a scale at home so we did this and made sure that he did not lose weight. He slowly ate more each day and we havent used his g-tube since. Getting him to eat baby food wasnt the easiest thing. I would pull his chin down and put the food in. I did this a few times a day for like 2 minutes each time and then one day he actually opened his mouth for the food!! I guess I just got lucky.
Good luck with Owen..it will happen. I have definitely learned patience!!
Andrea--
your little OWen gives all of us who are 'behind' him in surgeries so much hope. He is soo adorable! I'm glad he's making some progress with the eating business... you're so good to continue to be persistant and patient. There's so many little (and big) 'side effects' to their heart defects...you have no idea how many until you're in the middle of it all and a new one keeps popping up! I know you're probably so anxious to get the NG out...he'll get there.
I got a good laugh out of your costco post...I'm so glad to know that that's how it is when other people go out too! It was like reading about my own life..:) I don't take her anywhere either, but even her doctors apts are always way too eventful! TOo funny... I'm glad you could laugh at it.. Somtimes you don't know if you want to laugh or cry..:)
Hope things continue so well!
