Today was the first day of 4
th grade. What I planned to post about was an excited girl, smiling ear to ear in her favorite new school dress. Instead, she spent the morning at the pediatrician, getting swabbed and tested for strep throat. Positive.
Poor girl. It's nothing a little
antibiotic won't kill and she'll be back to school by Wednesday. That will be
her first day of school, and I'll get her first day of school pictures then.

Meanwhile... Mister Owen couldn't be happier to have sister home for a few more days! He has been butt scooting all over the place and has been picking up speed. The tubes still get tangled, he still runs out of energy, but he is on the move and I couldn't be more excited for him.

He's always on the search for Sissy. He goes up and down the hallway peeking into every room until he finds her. First he checks the den...

Then he checks her room...

She doesn't actually have to be in her room. By the time he gets to her room, he usually forgets that he is even looking for her. He has found a wonderland of things he can't have. All the tiny toys, electronic gadgets, big girl books and art supplies a little guy could ever imagine.
This is when I put the camera down to make sure her things aren't destroyed within seconds.

Hope she feels better soon! SO not a great start of the day. Glad Owen has a buddy for a few more days :)

I hope she feels better soon...bless her heart...it must of been hard on her to not be able to see all of her friends today.
That Owen is just adorable.....you're so blessed...I could just hug him!
Oh no - what a rotten first day back at school! Hope she's not too disappointed, and that she's feeling better very soon!
Glad Owen's having a good day though! X
Kudos to Owen for him and his butt scootin! Kyleigh would just get pissed off at the tube attached to the pole and scream... we quickly converted to a backpack system... lol ...
I found your blog through Gracies as I have followed her story. I hope you dont mind that I peek in on your blog every so often....but your little Owen just makes my heart melt. What a sweet little face and a perfect little spirit, to see his face and to read about all the struggles his body has I just wish I could do something for him, no child should have to face things like he has. I admire you for being such a great mom/advocate for your adorable children. Our family will keep Owen in our prayers hoping that he will get his "NEW" heart soon and that he will live a long, happy, healthy life.

Awww Get better quick Kamryn.
Owen is looking really great, I can't believe how the scooting and standing has
developed his little legs.
Love the way he looks for his big sis
everywhere. Just the cutest!
