Tube Free

It was only temporary until Owen turned a beautiful shade of blueberry blue... but he was TUBE FREE! For those few minutes, I thought to myself how wonderful it would be to never have to put the tubes back on his face. Owen brought me back to reality when he started changing colors... his tubes were back in place in record time!

On another note... Guess what this little man ate for dinner last night??? Ok, you don't really have to guess, I'll just tell you...
ENCHILADAS and CHEESECAKE!!

One thing I can tell you about a heart transplant is that I have never had to worry about heart problems because Beckham has a perfect working heart. He does not need oxygen or other stuff because his heart is working great. It took me a while to get used to it after his transplant, but what a wonderful change it was. Owen deserves that after all he has been through! He took cute to hid behind oxygen!

I remember when Josh was completely tube free, he was about 6 months old. It took me a while to get used to it. I was so used to tethering the tubes around my hands & stepping over tubing...i didn't know what to do with myself when all I had to worry about was holding him!
It will be a wonderful day when it happens for you (I don't need to tell you that)!!!

I love to snap pictures of Kylie when she is tube free, but then there's that moment where you have to be the mean one and put it back in. I just remind myself it is only there to help her and help her get better. Hopefully one day soon Owen will be able to be tube free forever. He is so cute, I love the little teeth. You are such a great Mommy and are doing an awesome job : )

Such a cute tube-free face. Good luck next week. We'll be watching for updates and keep Owen in our prayers.
