Newport Beach

When planning our trip, I knew we would need a down day.  A day to sleep in, rest our feet and enjoy the beach!  We did just that and it was my favorite day of the whole vacation!  We slept in, had a big breakfast at our hotel and went back upstairs to vege out while I packed for the beach.  We decided to head to Newport Beach and it did not disappoint.

The weather was perfect, the waves were just right and we all had a great time!

We dug in the dirt, we played in the waves, Owen chased the seagulls and collected seashells (for Payton). 

I loved spending time with my favorite three and just soak up the sun and saltwater air.  I am a beach bum!  After washing the sand off we headed to Chipotle for a quick lunch and to hit the road before LA traffic became unbearable. 

We all showered when we got back to the hotel and just snuggled in our jammies.  It was perfect.  We promised the kids we would eat at the Chicken Pie Shop where C and his family ate growing up.  It was the tiniest little shop with chickens everywhere, but some seriously delicious food for cheap.  I'm glad we went!

We were stuffed and so they boxed up our fruit pies to go and we headed back to the hotel to watch our Wednesday night line up on ABC.  We all love the Goldbergs and Modern Family.. pretty much the only two shows we watch all week together!  It was the perfect ending to our relaxing day in Anaheim. 

Tomorrow.. Our last day at Disney.
