Tuesday we decided to play at California Adventure park. We haven't seen Cars Land yet so we followed the crowd, like herded animals, on our way to Radiator Springs. Disney did not disappoint and we had a great time exploring while Daddy waited in line to get fast passes for Radiator Springs Racers.
Owen loved Maters Junkyard Jamboree, and I took a spin or two on it until I was ready to puke. :)
Then we rode Luigi's tires, which is right up there with Jungle Cruise on the excitement factor. We got in line for the Radiator Springs Racers since there was a short wait and we all loved it. Well, Owen wasn't too sure about it, so we used our fast passes and jumped right back in line. Round 2 was just as great! We decided to forgo the long lines to talk to the Cars characters and headed over to the Pier for some fun.
We did Little Mermaid, which was cool and relaxing, as it was another hot day. Owen asked a million questions, obviously he has never seen the Little Mermaid. "Why does a mermaid have a statue of a man and why is she singing to him? Weird." We rode on the silver rocketships, then grabbed a couple churros before the brave three rode on Goofy's Sky School. We then did a little pin trading before jumping onto Grizzy Rapids. We stopped into the Grand Californian for a quick lunch before heading back to our hotel for a nap and needed rest.. did I mention it was hot?
When we arrived back to Cali Adventure, we headed straight for California Screaming. Daddy and Kam rode a few times while Owen and I grabbed an ear of corn and sat down while he devoured it. Owen could care less about the rides at this point.. he just wanted to people watch and explore. After a quick ride on Toy Story Mania, Daddy let the kids play some boardwalk games on the pier.
Then we brought home these little gems. Who doesn't love a stroller full of stuffed animals? Sigh.
This was the first trip that we skipped the rocking buckets on the Mickey Wheel. We were starving and wanted to miss the crazy dinner crowds and our kids were having nothing to do with rocking buckets this year... one of my favorite rides!
We headed over to the Bread Bowl place and shared some delicious soup, followed by a quick stop in Bugs Land. It was dark and we were exhausted, so we left the park about 30 minutes before closing time. We would be back. :)
Tomorrow.. a much needed break at the Beach!
