Shots and Stuff

It's the time of year when we need to upgrade to a "jug" of hand sanitizer, be careful where we go and to stay away from anyone that might possibly be sick.

Carson spent the first part of the week recovering from a nasty bout of Pink Eye. I'll spare you the pictures... it was awful. I scrubbed everything he may have come in contact with each day because I hate me some pink eye.

Owen had the last of his immunizations and Flu shot yesterday. "No shots Mama... peas peas PEAS??" Heartbreaking. I held him down while the nurse poked him three times and then we grabbed his bouncy ball and we were outta there. We plan to not visit the pediatrician this entire winter season because this is the first year that Owen doesn't need Synagsis shots!! For the past two winters, Owen has had to get RSV immunization shots every month and they are painful, not to mention expensive. We are so over shots this year. Nevermind the fact that he needs a sedated MRI, Iv's and the possibility of two open heart surgeries. At least the shots are done.

Owen was up all night with fever, chills, and sats in the 50's. I've been rotating Motrin and Tylenol but his fevers still break through. I'm hoping it's just the immunizations and not illness. He's acting normal otherwise... and normal these days has been GREAT!!! I'll have an Owen update by Monday with new pics.

If you see Owen, you can give him knuckles. Avoid open hand germs and no kisses on the lips. I understand he has the best smooch ever so this is a tough one. If you are sick or have been exposed to germs, we'll catch up with you later. Always use sanitizer when we're around (we have plenty). If you were around us and find out later that you are sick.. just let us know your symptoms... and get better soon! We love you all.

Kamryn is officially on Fall Break...we have a fun week planned!
