Owen has been having it rough lately. I feel like a broken record. The puking is making me crazy. I just want him to wake up and feel great!!

We had a family movie day and went to see
Despicable Me this weekend. The kids loved it!! Owen came home and didn't get out of bed for the rest of the day. He always gets a little burst of energy for 30 minutes at night. It's a time we look forward to. He tackles sissy, climbs over Daddy and he likes to give me lots of kisses. It never fails that with all this activity, he pukes. :)

I just spoke with the NP at Stanford. It sounded like she didn't totally believe me when I told her how Owen has been doing and requested to bump up his
cath. She asked me if Dr Stock suggested it? Of course! I'm not making this stuff up. She said she would request his clinical notes and then discuss it with Dr
Rosenthal. I sometimes feel like they don't take me seriously. I wouldn't request a
cath earlier than necessary... nobody wants to put their babe under
anesthesia unless they feel there is a problem. I don't like the way I just felt on that phone call.

I love this face. I look forward to the mornings that he feels up to playing. We played Mr Potato Head for about 30 minutes this morning. It was sweet! Off to feed the little man.. I need him to gain some weight!!
Great news.... Owen just started 3 word sentences!! "More ball peas" "I
juv ooo" "poo poo peas" (change me). There are some more, but that's all I can think of right now. Ha. I love that he is developing in speech. It's progress! :)

I'm so sorry that the doc was giving you a hard time! I'm sure they have to work with some people that exaggerate symptoms, but there is no reason for them to assume that you're doing so! That's a pretty serious thing in that profession!
Oh how obnoxious. I am so sorry you had to feel that way after the phone call. That is one bummer of working with a medical team who doesn't know you as personally as Owen's cardio team in AZ! I hope that Owen's cardiologist can get it sorted out for you!
So sorry, it's been rough. But that is one cute kid and precious he's talking in sentences. Hope you find some peace in all the chaos.
Oh Andrea, I know exactly what you mean about getting through to people and them making you feel like your a quack. There used to be a pediatric nurse when my son was small that drove me nuts with her bad attitude like that. You know your little man best!
Poor little guy must have one irritated esophagus that never gets time to calm down. It's a vicious circle.
He is in my thoughts and of course on my prayer list for no more tummy upset.
I'm so ready for Owen to feel better. Makes me sad that he has not been feeling himself. Moms always know best! I'm sorry that the nurse made you feel uncomfortable. I hate when that happens. I've learned that we are the best advocate for our children and I know you know that too.
Glad to hear Owens speech is progressing!! Great Job, Owen!! Hope everything gets worked out for the heart cath. Praying!!
Your kids are so sweet!
