A Little Update

In just 3 days.... This little guy...
is going to be...
turning TWO!!!
We are very excited to celebrate with him!!

We spent Saturday in Tucson celebrating Grandpa Melvin's life and enjoyed time with family. Now we are back to packing the house, taking loads of stuff to Goodwill and searching for a home. We have this week and next to get everything done and moved into a home that I am yet to find. I have no idea how I will get it all done, but I will!!! I'm thinking positive.

Owen has an echo on Wednesday and I'm totally anxious to see what's going on in there. He has resumed his 4 times a day puking habit, but the week without it was a nice break. Still no idea why he is puking so much, but the Peptamen Jr didn't help much and so we're back to Pediasure. He has gained 3lbs in the past 3 months, so something is working out. I have another post on his eating and plans for that.. so I'll save it for later.

As far as the Gtube goes.. Owen is doing SO MUCH better. He was in alot pain last week, then we saw his surgeon and she changed the tube out. The xray study came back perfect and since then, he has stopped cringing and screaming. Maybe the tube I had put in wasn't placed correctly or was pinching him?? I don't know.. but we are happy that he is feeling better!!

Now if we could get him to stop puking, we'd all be happy! Then again.. when he's not puking, he's feeling icky and his tummy is too full. :( We'll figure it all out eventually. Let's just pray for decent echo results on Wednesday!! I'll update then.

Hi there, I've been checking on your lil' guy for awhile now because my son also had a heart transplant. He also has a g-tube due to intestinal failure. I had two suggestions I wasn't sure you had heard of/tried - a farrell (gastric relief) bag that would allow unprocessed feeds somewhere else to go & periactin which is a drug (yes, another one, that might help with his cyclical vomiting). If you'd like more info on either of these, please feel free to contact me! Our contact info is on our website. Take care, and good luck! We're praying for y'all!

He's so darn cute!
(and your photography skills...love them!)

sorry that the pukes are back...
four times a day...that is NO fun for anyone.

I wish they'd figure it out...that just burns up too many calories!

Good luck on your house hunting!
