Baby #3 .. 18 week Ultrasound

This morning was our 18 week ultrasound on baby #3.   I know most moms-to-be get so excited to see their baby on ultrasound, but I was just freaked out.  The fear of what could go wrong had me a nervous wreck.  The good news to report is that baby has a four chamber heart and looks to be completely healthy!  He is growing right on schedule and is wiggling around in there.  I haven't felt any movement yet, but I'm sure I will soon.

It still seems surreal to me that I'm pregnant.  When we are out school shopping I keep stopping to peek at baby boy gear but can't bring myself to buy anything.  I didn't purchase a single item for Owen until he was being discharged from the hospital at 30 days old, so I'm a little paranoid (to say the least).  I'm hoping as the weeks pass by I will relax and enjoy what is most likely my last pregnancy.

Here are some pics from our scan today.  Spine and back.. he has the same large ribcage that C, Owen and Kam have.
Here was our attempt at a profile picture..
My favorite... Skeletor picture of his facial bones.

Next up... Fetal Echo in 4 weeks at Stanford.  We got a look at the four chamber heart today, but this little guy's heart is too tiny to see everything we need.  In four weeks and with the fetal echo we will know for sure if his heart is perfect!  For now...we are so grateful and excited that in just five short months we will be holding our little guy!

I think I must have missed the announcement that #3 is a boy-congratulations!!! And praise the Lord for what appears to be a healthy heart thus far! I have a feeling the Fetal Echo is going to go just fine and all will be perfect!!

Congrats!!! So happy for your guys. I know Owen will make an amazing big brother and we already know Kam is an amazing sister. You guys are always in my prayers. My daughter, Raygen, has HLHS so I have followed your blog for awhile now. So glad things are going so good for your family. You guys truly deserve it.
