Make A Wish -- The End.

This morning was an early one as we had to be checked out of our hotel and on the road by 7:30.    We took a few last minute shots by the river and loaded up the van.

We had 8am reservations at Chef Mickeys for a character breakfast and to say Goodbye to Mickey.

The food was really yummy and we saw Goofy.
Then Mickey.

Minnie Mouse too.
Donald was there.

And Pluto swallowed Owen up!

We had a fantastic time and the experience was the perfect way to end our trip!  My Chef Mickey shirt ripped when I put it on in the morning.. bummer. :(
We arrived at the airport in plenty of time to make our long trip home.

When we arrived at Sky Harbor, Owen's Make A Wish granter was waiting for him with a 'Welcome Back' balloon!  We waited for Daddy to get all our luggage and we headed out to the curb.

We found our driver and the amazing Make A Wish limo waiting for us!!

Owen said "this was the best Make A Wish trip ever!!"
Kamryn thought it was pretty amazing too!!
We are so thankful for this amazing experience through Make A Wish!  Owen has been through so much since birth and he will never be cured.  His heart condition is severe and we live each day aware of how fragile his body is.  We are so grateful to have this opportunity to create life long memories with our little guy and to forget about real life for an incredible 10 days!!

We are so blessed.

Wow! What an experience.
I am very impressed with "Make a Wish" foundation for making this possible for Owen and your family.
Such wonderful, wonderful memories were made and super photos to remember each moment.
And the clothes that were made for you all - so great.
Merry merriest Christmas to each of you!

I looked forward to each of your posts about this trip. I also am very impressed by Make a Wish.

You have an outlook on life that I am not certain at all I would have if I were in your shoes. You treasure each day, seize the moment. You don't let the concerns of tomorrow take away from today.

Praying God's blessings on your family. Merry Christmas!

I read all of your posts and it looks like you guys had an AMAZING time! I can't believe all the special treatment you guys got since you were there for Make A Wish! That is so cool! Do the cast members know you're there for Make A Wish? Or how/why do they give you special treatment? I am so amazed by this and so happy for you guys!!! Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! *Megan from WI*

HAHAHAHAHA how embarrassing... I accidentally posted that last comment through google, not realizing my 'blog' is an assignment I did several months back for college lol, kinda embarrassing, but I don't know how to delete my comment haha... and just realized I usually post as anonymous so I can't even remember my OpenID email/password lol so I have to sign THIS comment with my college assignment blog address too haha... *Megan from WI*

Awww, I hate to see this trip end! I was wondering if your kids still think (believe) those characters are the real deal or simply cast members dressed up?
I noticed Owen isn't hooked up to oxygen when posing with characters. That's awesome that he doesn't need it continuously!

Did you find that the Make A Wish spending money was enough to last the entire trip for everyone? If not, how much do you recommend (since you just experienced it firsthand), a family should bring to have enough money for the week for all expenses?

Kaylee114.. Owen thinks they are totally real. Kamryn obviously knows they are just people in costume and gets so embarassed when I tell her to give them a hug. Ha.

Owen does really need continuous oxygen, but we unplugged him for a few seconds here and there for a picture. It is such a hassle to lug that thing around when he wants to get up and MOVE.

IslandBaby..

Make A Wish was more than generous with our expense money and there was no way we could use it all, even if we tried! It was way too much!
